The Shelburne Curb Appeal Program invites residents to nominate homes that stand out for their care, creativity, and community pride.

Before you Nominate

  • Property Owner Permission & Privacy

    By submitting a nomination, you confirm that you have obtained the property owner's permission to photograph and nominate the property for the Curb Appeal Recognition Program. Participants must respect private property and resident privacy at all times.

Program Details

Know a yard that stands out in your neighborhood? Nominate it for the Curb Appeal Program and help recognize great curb appeal across town.

By submitting a nomination, you confirm that you have obtained the property owner's permission to photograph and nominate the property for the Curb Appeal Recognition Program. Participants must respect private property and resident privacy at all times.

Open to all homes within the Town of Shelburne.

  • Homes must comply with Town by-laws
  • Landscaping must remain within property boundaries
  • No encroachment onto sidewalks, roads, or municipal property

The following individuals are not eligible to participate:

  • Employees of the Town of Shelburne
  • Members of Council
  • Immediate family members or individuals residing in the same household as the above

Know a home with beautiful landscaping or standout curb appeal?

Submit your nominations by July 31, 2026.

Town staff will review submissions and prepare the final list of homes for public voting.

Vote for the Top 10 Homes (August 3–12)

Once nominations close, residents can vote for their favourite homes.

The 10 homes with the most votes will be named this year’s winners.

As you nominate and vote, look for homes that:

  • Are clean, neat, and well-maintained
  • Feature a variety of plants, flowers, or landscaping
  • Show creativity and thoughtful design
  • Enhance the neighbourhood

Winning homes will receive:

  • A Shelburne Curb Appeal lawn sign displayed August 17–28
  • Recognition on the Town’s HaveYourSayShelburne website and social media platforms
Town staff will drop off signs, take photos, and return to pick them up.
  • Keep lawns trimmed and edged
  • Add colour with flowers and layered plants
  • Use mulch to retain moisture
  • Mix textures and heights
  • Add small accents like lighting or décor

Residents are reminded to follow summer watering restrictions (even/odd days) to help conserve water.

Outdoor watering (June–August):

  • Even-numbered homes → even days
  • Odd-numbered homes → odd days
