Traffic

The traffic downtown in general is an issue. However, the large transport trucks do make it more difficult to access parking on the main street as they line up at the light and block many of the parking spots as well as impeding the flow of traffic through the downtown core. There are certainly many issues with downtown traffic that have nothing to do with trucks. However, it may be beneficial to the town, whether that be businesses and/or shoppers to remove transport trucks from the downtown and provide another route for them around it. Of course, this will also result in the inevitable lack of tourist traffic that will also utilize a bypass potentially taking away business from the downtown core. With that said, how much business does tourism currently provide to our downtown? I don’t know.
