Heavy Truck traffic is a potential for tragedy

I have lived and worked in Shelburne over the last 40 years and the increasing number of heavy trucks and equipment moving through Shelburne is a recipe for tragedy. With only one set of light at the main intersection of Main St. and Owen Sound St. the sheer volume of traffic should be considered a risk. The noise is deafening and the pollution that these trucks create should be a big factor in making a decision on a by-pass. I have witnessed innumerable times people running across the streets just ahead of big trucks making a turn. There are a lot of near misses. What will it take to make this responsible and accountable decision by the Ministry of Labour ... a fatal accident?
